Team to conduct large-scale modernization of mobile network

YEREVAN, March 14. /ARКА/. Team Telecom Armenia will conduct large-scale modernization of its mobile network in Yerevan, regions and on interstate roads in 2025, the company's press service reported.
This process will significantly expand the network coverage, increase the speed of mobile Internet and network capacity, which will allow a wider range of the population to use Team services even in areas where there were previously limitations in coverage or speed.
"This year, we will focus our resources and attention on the modernization of the mobile network to radically improve the quality of services. This ambitious project is becoming a reality also thanks to our NGN fiber-optic network, which connects mobile stations through a reliable, secure and high-speed underground infrastructure," said Hayk Yesayan, CEO of Team Telecom Armenia.
At the first stage, the mobile network will be modernized in all settlements of the Tavush region. Tere the company will increase the number of base stations by 30%, introduce new technologies at the already operating stations, which will significantly improve the quality of both voice and Internet services.
Then, work will be carried out to expand the coverage of mobile communications on interstate roads: when driving on these routes, Team subscribers will be provided with even faster and more stable communication.
Next, large-scale work will begin to improve 4G coverage and launch a 5G network in Yerevan. Team will also re-equip the mobile network in other regions, details of which will be presented later.
