Roaming among CIS operators to become cheaper
YEREVAN, October 22. / ARKA /. The Armenian government on Thursday approved an agreement on the principles of inter-operator settlements for provision of international telecommunication services.
Deputy minister of communication and transport Artur Arakelyan said the agreement will allow CIS member countries to set tariffs and develop principles that will be applied in provision of data services and international roaming.
The agreement in question had been approved by CIS telecommunication ministers in mid-2014.
It was developed at the initiative of CIS operators for regulation of their tariffs on international telephone services.
Later, after the approval of this agreement by the heads of governments, operators will be able to start work on reducing inter-operator tariffs, including international roaming. -0-
