YEREVAN, July 1. /ARKA/. Armenia to host 10th-grade admissions for the first time will be held electronically, announced Artak Poghosyan, Director of the National Center for Educational Technologies at the RA Ministry of Education.

"Admission to high schools will now be carried out in a new format. For the first time, admission to 10th grade will be conducted electronically, through the my.emis.am platform," Poghosyan said at a press conference on Wednesday, Armenpress reports.

According to him, to register a child, a parent must have an account on the platform and undergo strict identification. If the documents are in order, the system will automatically recognize the child's parent.

Poghosyan said that in the personal account, students will be able to view their child's electronic journal and graduation certificate, receive notifications from teachers or the principal, and submit applications.

According to him, registration will be open for children with priority status from 9:00 AM on July 20 to 12:00 AM on August 2. This applies to cases where the child or parent has a disability, the parent works at the school, or the child already has a sibling attending the school.

General registration for 10th grade students with instruction in Armenian will begin on August 4 at 9:00 AM. Registration for classes with instruction in Russian will open on August 11 at 9:00 AM, at the parents' discretion, Poghosyan noted.

Under the previous procedure, admission to 10th grade was processed through the school principal based on a parent's application, an agreement with the school, and a package of documents. Required documents for students in grades 10–12 included the original certificate of basic (secondary) education.
