The Yerkir Media television company offered airtime to the church-based Shoghakat TV, which was shut down by the Armenian authorities.
YEREVAN, December 29. /ARКА/. The Yerkir Media television company offered airtime to the church-based Shoghakat TV, which was shut down by the Armenian authorities.
"Highly appreciating the work of Shoghakat TV and considering the circumstances surrounding its suspension, Yerkir Media declares its readiness to provide airtime to its colleagues at Shoghakat starting January 1," the statement reads.
On December 25, 2025, the Armenian government decided to liquidate Shoghakat Spiritual and Cultural Public Television CJSC. Earlier, in October of this year, following an amendment to the RA Law "On Audiovisual Media" adopted by parliament, Shoghakat TV was removed from the public multiplex and was left without state funding.
Yerkir Media was established in 2003 by Khusaber CJSC (founded by the ARF Dashnaktsutyun party) and began broadcasting in December 2004.
