YEREVAN, May 5 /ARКА/. The "Silicon Mountains Lori 2025" forum will be the first regional event in Armenia where the winner of the Armenian State Award for Global Contribution to Information Technology in 2024 will speak.

His name is not yet known to the public and will be announced for the first time at the forum, where his interview will take place in an open format.

The Silicon Mountains Lori 2025 IT Forum will take place on May 15 this year in the municipality of Debet in the Lori region of Armenia.

An Expo will be held in parallel with the forum, and panel discussions will be organized on the topics of "AI and automation", "smart" digital infrastructure, "cybersecurity and data protection".

According to Eduard Musaelyan, Chairman of the Union of Employers of Armenia in Information and Communication Technologies (UEICT), a "cyber war" will be organized between the participants of the forum, which will help to identify the weaknesses and strengths of cybersecurity of Armenian institutions and companies.

And on May 16, an event for start-ups will be organized in Lori. He promised that Silicon Mountains will be held twice a year in Armenia - in Yerevan and in one of the regions, which will make it possible to show the potential of the regions in the field of human resources.

The forum will be attended by the heads of leading Armenian ICT companies, banks, Deputy Minister of High-Tech Industry Ruben Simonyan, cybersecurity experts and other representatives of authorities and companies.

Silicon Mountains is an annual technology summit that has been held in Armenia since 2019. It is organized by the Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) Employers' Association with the support of the Ministry of High-Tech Industry of the Republic of Armenia. The aim of the event is to position Armenia as a regional hub for digital innovation and to promote the development of the country's technological ecosystem.
