Web-RADR SAV mobile smartphone app launched in Armenia
YEREVAN, May 7. /ARKA/. Armenia’s Ministry of Health with the support of the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) of the United Kingdom, launched today the free WEB-RADR SAV mobile smartphone app. Health Minister Arsen Torosyan told reporters today the application will help local users to learn about the side effects of drugs or their adverse reactions. He said the patients who will download the app will be able to report the side effects of drugs they have noticed to the Center for Drug and Medical Technology Expertise. According to the minister, the manuals sometimes do not mention all the side effects of medicines. "We need complete information on all side effects… This simple tool allows the patients to report on the side effects of drugs, track previously reported information and receive official news and alerts about drugs that interest consumers," he said. The Armenian version of the WEB-RADR SAV app was developed as part of an international program of the same name that is supported by the Joint Venture on Innovative Drugs under a grant agreement, whose resources are derived from the financial contribution of the EU Seventh Framework Program and various investments of the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industry and Associations (EFPIA ). -0-
