Third branch of Armenian TUMO creative technologies center opens in Buenos Aires

YEREVAN, August 10. /ARKA/. The third TUMO creative technologies center has opened in Buenos Aires, the Argentine capital's government announced.

"We are the only city in the world with three TUMO centers. They will be able to accommodate 20,000 students annually," said Buenos Aires Mayor Jorge Macri at the opening ceremony.

The new center is located in the Chacarita neighborhood at Concepción Arenal 4271 and can accommodate over 7,300 students. Two other TUMO centers in Buenos Aires operate in the Barracas and Núñez neighborhoods.

All three TUMO centers in the Argentine capital are also launching classes in generative artificial intelligence. Teens will be able to learn how AI tools work, create content with them, develop simple apps, and interact with artificial intelligence models.

About TUMO

The TUMO Center for Creative Technologies (TUMO) opened in Armenia in 2011. The Simonyan Foundation is the founder, brand owner, and operator of the TUMO center network.

Today, there are six TUMO centers and more than 40 TUMO Boxes (mobile mini-centers) operating in Armenia, where over 25,000 Armenian teenagers aged 12-18 study subjects using modern technologies, such as programming, music, robotics, animation, 3D modeling, filmmaking, photography, game development, graphic design, and drawing, free of charge every week. 

TUMO's goal in Armenia is to create a nationwide network of 14 centers and 80 TUMO Boxes.

Outside of Armenia, TUMO centers operate in France, Germany, Portugal, the Netherlands, Albania, Belgium, the United States, Japan, Argentina, and Uruguay. By the end of 2027, TUMO plans to expand its international network to 30 centers in 15 countries, including Spain, Angola, Germany, and other countries.-0-
