Team launches powerful solar power plant in Gegharkunik with an annual output of 16 million kWh (VIDEO)
YEREVAN, July 15. /ARKA/. Taking into account the importance of increasing renewable energy sources, responsible attitude towards nature, as well as energy security and sustainable development of Armenia, Team Group of Companies announced the launch of a new strategic project, the press service of the group reports.
'The Team Group of Companies has built and commissioned a solar power plant in the Gegharkunik region with a capacity of 16 million kWh per year. A plant of this capacity is equivalent to the average annual electricity consumption of a city with a population of 7,000 to 10,000 people.
Hundreds of specialists were involved in the large-scale construction of the plant, including from Team Systems and Team Construct, which are part of the Team group of companies.
"Millions of Team Telecom Armenia subscribers and tens of thousands of drivers using the Team Energy network of charging stations for electric vehicles are constantly increasing their electricity consumption. With the launch of this powerful solar power plant, we are taking another step towards ensuring that our services are powered by renewable energy sources. Thanks to this, Team customers are becoming part of our commitment to sustainable development and a responsible attitude towards nature," notes Hayk Yesayan, co-founder of the Team group of companies.
