Second TUMO Box in Goris is officially funded

This milestone was made possible by the unstoppable determination of the All-Armenian Student Association (ALL-ASA), who dedicated an entire year to organizing events and mobilizing various chapters across California to raise $30,000.
YEREVAN, October 13. /ARKA/. This milestone was made possible by the unstoppable determination of the All-Armenian Student Association (ALL-ASA), who dedicated an entire year to organizing events and mobilizing various chapters across California to raise $30,000.
Their commitment inspired the remarkable generosity of the Rev and Rachel Foundation, who compassionately stepped in to close the gap and fully fund the box.
This is philanthropy in action: bridging the digital divide in Armenia’s rural heartland.
Why does Syunik matter so deeply? Because Syunik is Armenia’s southern frontier – strategically vital, yet historically underinvested. Too many youth here grow up with limited opportunities, scarce educational resources, and the constant pressure to leave in search of a better future.
The second TUMO Box in Goris is proof of how urgently new learning opportunities are needed in Syunik. When the first one opened, nearly twice as many teens signed up as a single Box could accommodate.
To make sure that no teen is left behind, we decided to open a second TUMO Box in Goris, this time on the other side of town, to welcome hundreds of more teens from several more communities.
Each TUMO Box is a mobile, high-tech learning environment that delivers TUMO’s world-class curriculum in coding, animation, robotics, music, genAI, game development, and more - reaching up to 400 students per week.
For Syunik’s youth, a TUMO Box is more than a place to learn. It’s access, confidence, and the chance to imagine a bright future right at home.
This milestone is proof of what’s possible when students lead, philanthropists give boldly, and communities rise together.
