Rostelecom launches mobile TV for iPads

GNC-ALFA company, the Armenian subsidiary of Russian Rostelecom, has officially launched today mobile TV on iPad service, GNC-ALFA CEO Hayk Faramazyan said a press conference.

YEREVAN, December 23. / ARKA /. GNC-ALFA company, the Armenian subsidiary of Russian Rostelecom, has officially launched today mobile TV on iPad service, GNC-ALFA CEO Hayk Faramazyan said a press conference.

"We expect the demand for this service to be quite large. For the time being it will be available only for iPads, but we work to make it available also for Androids and iPhones ", he said.
He did not rule out that the Android version could be launched in 1-2 months.

Mobile TV for iPad available through Wi-Fi/3G/4G technologies is a joint service of GNC-ALFA and Hybrid Solutions Company. It enables to watch up to 70 local and foreign channels. To join the service one should not be a Rostelecom subscriber.

The cost of a package with 11 Armenian channels is $ 2.99, and the cost of the package with the maximum number of channels is $25.99. There is also a  free social benefit package with five channels.

To view the interactive television on IPad one  needs to download  "TVRT.AM" application from Apple Store. To view high quality Wi-Fi/3G/4G one needs a minimum speed of 1.5 Mbit /s. ($ 1 - 405.35 drams).  -0-
