Nvidia invests $2 billion in Synopsys shares, establishing strategic partnership

American Nvidia Corp. has invested $2 billion in Synopsys Inc., a chip design software developer, as part of a strategic partnership aimed at integrating Nvidia's strengths in AI and accelerated computing with Synopsys's advanced engineering solutions.

YEREVAN, December 2. /ARKA/. American Nvidia Corp. has invested $2 billion in Synopsys Inc., a chip design software developer, as part of a strategic partnership aimed at integrating Nvidia's strengths in AI and accelerated computing with Synopsys's advanced engineering solutions.

According to a joint press release from the companies, the collaboration will enable their R&D teams to design, simulate, and test new products with greater accuracy and at a lower cost.

Nvidia acquired Synopsys shares at $414.79 per share, down from Friday's closing price of $418.01, Interfax reports.

Synopsis shares rose 7.4% in pre-market trading on Monday, while Nvidia shares fell 1.2%.

Since April 2022, Nvidia has had an R&D center in Armenia, led by Rev Lebaredin, NVIDIA's vice president of Omniverse/Simulation Technologies.
One of the corporation's large-scale projects in Armenia is the creation of a supercomputer and AI data center in partnership with Team Group and the startup Firebird, the launch of which was announced for the summer of 2025. The AI data center project in Armenia, which will receive a $500 million investment, will become a platform for innovation, education, science, and entrepreneurship, stimulating the development of local and international startups, facilitating the connection between science and technology, and transforming Armenia into a regional tech hub—a tangible destination for AI creation. -0-
