Number of Beeline Armenia mobile subscribers exceeds 815,000 as of end of Q2
YEREVAN, August 7. /ARKA/. Number of Beeline Armenia mobile subscribers exceeded 815,000 as of the end of the second quarter, by 20,000 more than in the first quarter, says the company’s report about financial and operational performance for Q2.
In the second quarter, outflow in the mobile sector dropped to a record low in the last 3 years level – 8.5%, the company’s press office said.
Number of the company’s mobile subscribers rose by 12,000, and the average traffic doubled in the period.
Smartphone penetration in subscribers’ database rose by 10% over the year, and the respective Internet traffic almost doubled.
According to the company’s estimates, this takes place as the company is focuses on sales of branded smartphone sales and Internet connection.
In the first quarter of this year, Beeline’s capital investments amounted to $2 million. Total revenues from landline services dropped by 11% in yearly terms, amid downward global trends in these services’ market.
EBITDA margin grew by 5.3 percentage points to 40.5%, as compared to the first quarter.
EBITDA level was $11 million in Q2, by $2 million more than in the first quarter and by $5 million more than in the fourth quarter of 2014. The company’s mobile subscribers’ database continues growing; revenues from mobile Internet services increases and outflow reduces substantially, according to the report.
