New platform for digitization of urban services in Yerevan will be launched on trial basis this week
YEREVAN, June 30. /ARKA/. The new platform for digitization of city services - Yerevan Electronic Services (Y.E.S.) - will be experimentally launched this week, said the capital's Mayor Tigran Avinyan.
"The platform has a corresponding facial recognition system, which allows a citizen to connect to his data after identification," Avinyan said at a meeting at the City Hall on Monday.
According to him, today it will be possible to log in to the platform, register and pass identification, and then use the services of the Yerevan City Hall directly from home, without unnecessary obstacles.
Director of the Yerevan Technology Management Center Sargis Manukyan, for his part, said that the work is being carried out within the framework of the digital transformation program - we are talking about a single platform for community services, which will be launched in stages.
"The platform combines all the services provided through the Yerevan City Hall and infrastructures, operating on the "one-stop shop" principle. Its goal is to provide more convenient services to citizens and, of course, businesses. With just one registration, a citizen will be able to use city services, see their obligations and pay for them, as well as use information services,” Manukyan said.
According to him, the new platform differs from the website – yerevan.am in its functionality, replacing all offices at the Yerevan City Hall on the “one-stop shop” principle.
Earlier, Avinyan stated that by the end of the year, it is planned to organize access to all city services on this electronic platform. It is also planned to launch versions of the Y.E.S. platform for Android and iOS.-0-
