YEREVAN, December 18. /ARKA/. Information security expert Samvel Martirosyan reported a mass theft of Viber accounts from Armenian users.
Martirosyan stated during a live broadcast on his Facebook page that many users have already had their accounts stolen.
“What do the scammers do? For instance, a letter arrives from list am or another organization asking you to confirm your account. They say a 6-digit code will be sent to your account, which you need to provide them,” Martirosyan explained.
In reality, the code that arrives is a Viber recovery code, which is then stolen.
Martirosyan urged Armenian users not to share their data with unknown individuals under any circumstances.
