"Generation AI" initiative for high school students is set to encompass all regions of Armenia

YEREVAN, October 15. /ARKA/. The "Generation AI" educational initiative designed for high school students, executed by the Armenian Ministry of Education, Science, and Sports in collaboration with the Foundation for Armenian Science and Technology (FAST), will be accelerated and will extend its reach to all areas of the country.

"Over a thousand high school students are currently beneficiaries of the initiative. It is now accessible to a greater number of students from every region of the country," stated Minister of Education Zhanna Andreasyan during a presentation on Tuesday.

The event showcased the outcomes of the two-year pilot initiative and highlighted potential areas for its growth. In the 2024/2025 academic year, more than 600 students from 15 schools engaged in the "Generation AI" program, and in the ongoing 2025/2026 academic year, around 1,000 students from 26 schools across 19 regional cities are participating. The initiative is projected to reach up to 45 schools in the 2026/2027 academic year.

The program is designed to influence the educational trajectory of future AI professionals and is tailored for students in grades 10–12, who will delve into mathematics, Python programming, and the fundamentals of AI, while also executing practical projects in this domain.-0-
