Digital system for managing employment contracts is being implemented in Armenia
YEREVAN, April 10. /ARKA/. At its regular meeting on Thursday, the Armenian government approved a decision to introduce a digital system for concluding employment contracts.
The document outlines the system’s requirements, the procedures for granting access to its data, the process for concluding employment contracts using the system, and the designation of the authorized body responsible for managing the digital system.
According to the decision, the State Revenue Committee of Armenia will serve as the authorized body managing the digital system.
It is also established that employers must conclude employment contracts, agreements on amendments or additions to employment contracts, as well as individual legal acts regarding contract termination, through the designated page of the "Electronic Reporting System" of the SRC.
Under current regulations, when hiring a new employee, employers use this system to submit an application for registering the individual’s personal data. To avoid duplication of efforts, it is advisable that employment contracts also be concluded through this system. Once the contract is signed, the system will automatically generate a registration application.
Access to the digital system will be granted to the State Revenue Committee, the Health and Labor Inspectorate, and the Migration and Citizenship Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia.
The main advantages of the system include simplifying the process of concluding employment contracts, providing protection from social risks by ensuring the presence of a formal contract, reflecting payments and contributions, and reinforcing the employer’s obligations to the employee.
According to the draft amendments to the Labor Code of the Republic of Armenia adopted on December 4, 2024, these changes will take effect on a voluntary basis from July 1, 2025, and will become mandatory starting January 1, 2026.
