Beeline startup incubator and business angels networks of Armenia launch new format of work

At the third stage of incubation Beeline Startup Incubator launched a new format having attracted new start-up teams. The project is being carried out  jointly with Business Angel Network of Armenia (BANA), owing to which the teams that showed the best results in the five stages will be able to attract investments, the press service of Veon Armenia (trading as Beeline in Armenia) reported.

YEREVAN, March 28. /ARKA/. At the third stage of incubation Beeline Startup Incubator launched a new format having attracted new start-up teams. The project is being carried out  jointly with Business Angel Network of Armenia (BANA), owing to which the teams that showed the best results in the five stages will be able to attract investments, the press service of Veon Armenia (trading as Beeline in Armenia) reported.

"After nearly a year of operation, our incubator showed quite serious results. The start-ups that got training at our company achieved tangible results. Today I am happy to say that with our new partner BANA we have made a step forward, and from this moment on we have made attraction of investments  by our start-ups, as well as maintaining their connections with investors more realistic," said Andrey Pyatakhin, Veon Armenia CEO.

In addition to providing financial resources to start-up teams and start-up entrepreneurs, the Business Angel Network of Armenia teaches them also how to develop business strategies and attract potential customers.

"Cooperation of business angels and startups is a common and successful way of working in developed countries. The new stage of Beeline Startup Incubator with a network of business angels is claiming to be a breakthrough program for startups and investors. At the end of any stage, we plan to attract investment and want to apply the best global experience for Armenian start-ups," said Grigor Hovhannisyan, head of Business Angels Network of Armenia.

BANA, created in spring 2017, has already invested in five start-up teams. Beeline Startup Incubator supports the intensive growth of Armenian startups, thereby ensuring their access to the international market. During the 14 weeks of the incubation period, residents are trained in marketing, public relations, market assessment, financial planning, fund attraction and other related issues.
