Armenian startup Krisp attracts investments of $ 9 million
YEREVAN, February 17. /ARKA/. Armenian startup Krisp, which suppresses noise during online communication, has attracted investments in the amount of $ 9 million, Artavazd Minasyan, co-founder and chairman of Krisp, reports on his Facebook page.
The Armenian application Krisp, which allows you to suppress extraneous noise during online communication, is registered as a startup in the United States, but the team is based in Yerevan.
“Krisp attracted new investments in the amount of $ 9 million (Series A1 - stage of active growth). This success is the result of many years of work by our large team. We are making confident steps towards becoming a $ 1 billion company,” Minasyan wrote.
Information was also shared by High Technologies Industry Minister Hakob Arshakyan, who recalled that last year the company had already attracted investments in the amount of $ 5 million and received a new stage of development during the pandemic, having received new contracts with well-known companies.
According to the company's management estimates, over four years of its activity its value has risen to $ 120 million. Krisp now has more than 1200 corporate clients: banks, HR platforms, law firms, call centers and other companies for which the priority is to have clear audio on the line.
Krisp is an app that uses machine learning when connected while making calls via Skype, Slack, Viber, WhatsApp, Zoom, Webex or other services and blocks noises during a call, such as noise from the street, neighbors shouting or key banging.
Krisp technology is based on machine learning and digital signal processor. KrispNet, the company's neural network, has learned to recognize the human voice, select only this part of the track and block the rest of the noise. The technology clears the voice from both the speaker and the listener. The audio delay does not exceed 15 milliseconds and does not affect the conversation in any way.
In addition to individual use, 2hz can be integrated into various communication media. For example, Sitel Group, the largest business process outsourcing company, announced that it is integrating technology into its call centers. -0-
