Information security expert Samvel Martirosyan has issued a reminder about phishing attacks targeting Telegram channels.
YEREVAN, January 7. /ARКА/. Information security expert Samvel Martirosyan has issued a reminder about phishing attacks targeting Telegram channels.
"Phishing attacks on Telegram channels have been ongoing for several months, and unfortunately, people continue to fall victim to them when a 'gift' appears to come from a friend. In short, if you're asked to enter a code on some website sent by Telegram or if you receive a message (attacks can also occur on Viber and WhatsApp), do not do this under any circumstances," Martirosyan wrote on his Telegram channel.
He reminded that the code is only needed to register your account on a new device.
