YEREVAN, 19 July. /ARKA/. Armenian information security expert Samvel Martirosyan offers a solution to the problem of Windows computers ‘hanging’, which was recorded on Friday all over the world due to a global glitch.

Windows computers running Crowdstrike are ‘hanging’ all over the world. ‘If you have become a ‘victim’ of this, try this ‘cure’, it seems to help,’ Martirosyan says.

On his Telegram page, Martirosyan posts a link that one can follow - Boot Windows into Safe Mode or Windows C Recovery Environment: \{Windows\System32\drivers\CrowdStrike_ directory Find the file corresponding to ‘C-00000291*.sys’ and delete it. Boot the host as normal.

Windows devices around the world are crashing. The Register writes that this is due to a bug in an update from information security vendor CrowdStrike. Users are complaining about the ‘blue screen of death’ appearing on Windows devices 1.-0--.
