YEREVAN, April 11. /ARKA/. The Armenian government will purchase $25 million in high-performance computing resources for the development of artificial intelligence from Firebird AI, which is building a large-scale AI data center in Hrazdan, for a period of five years, announced RA Minister of High-Tech Industry Mkhitar Hayrapetyan.

"The program is aimed at supporting startups, research groups, educational institutions, and individual specialists working in the field of artificial intelligence. They will be provided with high-performance computing resources for the design, training, and implementation of AI systems," the minister wrote on Facebook.

According to him, the computing power will be provided through the Artificial Intelligence Virtual Institute (AIVI), launched by the Armenian Ministry of High-Tech Industry and operating as an open platform for innovation and collaboration.

As noted by Ayrapetyan, within the framework of the program, AIVI will serve as an operational platform for accepting applications, identifying applicants, and distributing computing resources, as well as a virtual platform for communication and interaction among AI developers.
