Armenia offers Google cooperation on AI and cloud technologies, YouTube monetization, and Google Maps adjustments

YEREVAN, September 18 /ARKA/. Armenian Minister of High Technologies Industry Mkhitar Hayrapetyan yesterday received a delegation from Google corporation, which visited Yerevan for the first time with the aim of developing cooperation with the Armenian Government.

The minister presented the strategic priorities of the Armenian Government, expected areas of cooperation, particularly, in the field of artificial intelligence and cloud solutions, which will stimulate the development of technologies in Armenia.

The possibilities of bringing cooperation with Google to a more effective level were touched upon, and the issue of activating YouTube monetization in Armenia and Goggle Maps settings were also on the discussion agenda.

"Various Google services are available in our country, but we see greater potential in terms of developing bilateral relations: from cloud services to the use of artificial intelligence in various areas," emphasized the minister.

The company representatives presented their recommendations, from the preservation of culture to the technological sphere, emphasizing the role and importance of human resources in Armenia. 

At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed hope for the implementation of the agreements reached for the strengthening and development of bilateral cooperation.

"I hope that through open dialogue it will be possible to achieve effective and targeted cooperation," noted Hayrapetyan. -0-
