YEREVAN, January 7. /ARKA/. Starting January 1, 2026, employment contracts in Armenia will be concluded exclusively on a digital electronic platform, announced Zhora Sargsyan, Head of the Labor and Employment Department of the RA Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs.
"The introduction of this system will allow both employees and employers to solve a number of problems. In particular, employers and employees will now have a standardized contract. We have included all required fields on the platform, and even the outline for each field includes reminders, which will significantly facilitate the process," Sargsyan noted at a press conference on Wednesday.
He noted that there had previously been cases where employees did not receive their employment contracts, or received them much later than stipulated by labor legislation. He explained that the implementation of this system will also solve this problem, as the contract will be created on a digital electronic platform, and when the employee signs their contract, they will immediately see it on the self-portal.taxservice.am platform.
"This also addresses the issue of inspection and control mechanisms, as when auditing an employer's labor relations, it will be possible to see what contract has been concluded, what stage it is at, and the current status of the labor relations," Sargsyan said.
He also stated that all employers can enter the employment contracts of previously hired and currently employed employees into the new platform from January 1 to December 31, 2026. Employment contracts that were terminated prior to this date do not need to be entered into the system.
Anna Pogosyan, Business Analyst at the Digital Projects Management Department of the G Solutions State Non-Profit Organization, stated that since the platform's creation in October 2025, 433 employment contracts have been concluded between employers and employees, and 1,525 contracts were generated by the system but have not yet been signed by the employee.
"The system is fully operational, enabling the digitalization of employment relationships and the conclusion and signing of all electronic documents.
If there are only a few employees, their data can be entered individually, and if there are many, an Excel-based entry form will soon be available," Pogosyan noted.
