Armenia is taking consistent steps to develop cybersecurity by implementing systemic solutions and strengthening institutional capacity, stated Deputy Minister of High-Tech Industry Ruben Simonyan.
YEREVAN, March 19. /ARKA/. Armenia is taking consistent steps to develop cybersecurity by implementing systemic solutions and strengthening institutional capacity, stated Deputy Minister of High-Tech Industry Ruben Simonyan.
"Cybersecurity is a key priority today, both in terms of ensuring national security and the sustainable development of the digital economy," Simonyan noted at the second meeting of the steering committee formed under the Partnership for Strengthening Cybersecurity program.
During the meeting, the recently adopted RA Law on Cybersecurity was discussed. It was emphasized that it creates a solid foundation for the development of the industry, strengthening cyber defense mechanisms and increasing the security of critical information infrastructure.
The need for close cooperation between government, international, and private entities to strengthen the national cybersecurity system was reaffirmed.
