Armenia's Seventh TUMO Center for Creative Technologies to Open in Vanadzor
YEREVAN, October 30. /ARKA/. A TUMO center for creative technologies will open in Vanadzor, the seventh in Armenia.
For this purpose, in accordance with the Armenian government's decision of October 30, 2025, the Simonyan Educational Foundation (organizer of the TUMO network of centers and boxes) will be donated a plot of state-owned land, buildings, and structures.
"The TUMO foundation plans to invest 1.8 billion drams in the project over the next three years," said Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure David Khudatyan at a government meeting on Thursday.
Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan inquired about the number of TUMO centers operating in Armenia and abroad. Armen Martirosyan, Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports, reported that six TUMO centers have been operating in Armenia since 2011, and the Vanadzor center will be the seventh.
In addition, 40 TUMO boxes—mini-laboratories—are also in operation, where all students receive tuition-free training. The total number of TUMO beneficiaries in Armenia is 21,000, and the number of graduates is approximately 1,000.
"Outside Armenia, TUMO centers operate under franchise agreements in France, Albania, Germany, Portugal, the Netherlands, Argentina, the United States, and Japan, with plans to open new centers in other countries in the near future," he said.
The TUMO Center for Creative Technologies opened in Armenia in 2011. Currently, approximately 25,000 Armenian teenagers aged 12-18 are receiving free training in IT using modern technologies (programming, music, robotics, animation, 3D modeling, filmmaking, photography, game development, graphic design, and drawing).-0-
