YEREVAN, September 24. /ARКА/. The Deputy Head of the State Revenue Committee of Armenia, Hamlet Sahakyan, announced in parliament that the committee plans to introduce a unified electronic account system for customs payments.

On Wednesday, the bill proposing necessary amendments and additions to the Law "On Customs Regulation" received a favorable opinion from the parliamentary committee on economic issues.

During the committee meeting, Sahakyan elaborated that the implementation of this system, as outlined in the bill, is essential for enhancing the efficiency of accounting procedures and fulfilling customs payment obligations.

"Following the adoption of the bill, it is anticipated that a single account will be utilized for replenishing the relevant funds and settling obligations, irrespective of the customs authority and payment type. This will greatly streamline the accounting of cash flows, grant participants in foreign economic activities access to an individual account, automatically compute and document penalties in accordance with the established cases and procedures, and facilitate the automatic settlement of obligations based on the parameters set by the payer," Sahakyan remarked.-0-
