All schools in Armenia will be equipped with STEM labs by the end of 2026
YEREVAN, April 8. /ARKA/. By the end of 2026, all general education schools in Armenia will be equipped with STEM laboratories focused on natural sciences. This was announced by Araksiya Svadjyan, Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports of Armenia, during a meeting with representatives of general, preschool, and secondary specialized education in Armenia.
As she noted, the largest state program in Armenia aimed at improving school infrastructure is the program for the reconstruction, renovation, and construction of 300 schools.
"This program ensures that schools under construction or renovation will be fully equipped with necessary equipment. In the field of general education, we are paying particular attention to the creation of natural science and mathematics/engineering (STEM) laboratories. By the end of 2026, all general education schools will be equipped with such laboratories," Svadjyan said.
She also mentioned that work to improve infrastructure is ongoing in the field of vocational education.
