Armentel’s number of broadband internet users grows to 49,000

Armenia’s ArmenTel telecommunications company said the number of its broadband Internet users grew by 2.5 times in the first half of the year to 49,000, up from 19,200 users in the fist half of 2009.

YEREVAN, September 3, /ARKA/. Armenia’s ArmenTel telecommunications company said the number of its broadband Internet users grew by 2.5 times in the first half of the year to 49,000, up from 19,200 users in the fist half of 2009.

ArmenTel said the number of subscribers to broadband Internet in the second quarter of 2010 grew by 59.3% from the first quarter when it had 31,200 subscribers.
 
ArmenTel CJSC (trading under Beeline brand) is a subsidiary of Russian VimpelCom group, which consists of telecommunications operators providing voice and data services through a range of wireless, fixed and broadband technologies.
