Orange introduced a new smartphone Samsung Galaxy Nexus

YEREVAN, February 20. /ARKA/. The company Orange introduced in Armenia a new smartphone Samsung Galaxy Nexus, press-service of the company informed ARKA News Agency.

Galaxy Nexus is a smartphone on the basis of Android developed jointly by the companies Samsung and Google. Galaxy Nexus continues the line of Nexus smartphones, where the phones Nexus One and Nexus S are included.

By subscribing to the service plans “Dolphin”, “Leopard” or “Butterfly”, the smartphone can be obtained by relatively low price starting fr om 170 thousand drams. Smartphone can be obtained also without subscription to TPs for 350 thousand drams, and in credit.

The smartphone was introduced October 19, 2011. Its sale started on October 17 in Great Britain and in November – in the U.S. In Russia official sale of Galaxy Nexus in branded shops of Samsung started on December 23.

Galaxy Nexus is the first smartphone of new version ОС Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich), wh ere many changes and improvements are made, including such functions as Face Unlock (identification of the owner’s face), changes in the voice of text typing, Android Beam, NFC, Wi-Fi Direct .

Galaxy Nexus has 4.65-inch HD Super AMOLED screen, performed by the technology PenTile, 1280×720 pixels with a curved glass, dual-core processor with a frequency of 1.2 Ghz Ti OMAP 4460 (ARM Cortex-A9) together with graphic chip PowerVR SGX540, 1 GB of RAM, battery in 1750 mA•h (1850 mAh in 4g version), 1.3-megapixel front camera and 5 megapixel main camera, able to record 1080p video, 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, barometer, compass, NFC and has 16 or 32 GB memory.

The phone does not have physical buttons on the front panel, instead of them on-screen soft-keys, built-in the operating system.--0--
