ZTE planning to expand its presence in Armenia

YEREVAN, February 5. /ARKA/. ZTE is planning to expand its presence in Armenia, Tan Leonie, chief of ZTE GLOBAL SALES AND SERVICES division on Caucasus and Baltic countries, said Friday as he met with Vahan Martirosyan, Armenian transport, communications and information technology minister, the ministry’s press office reports.
The representative of ZTE said that the company is now cooperating with two Armenian operators in fixed telecommunication and IP television areas and prospects for establishing cooperation with another telecommunication company are being discussed now.
Tan Leonie said that he knows about the project of establishment of a regional Data Center and stressed that the company is interested in this project.
The minister, on his side, said that this program implies partnership between public and private sectors, and the government is ready to negotiate with private companies which are ready to invest money in the project.
Details of implementation of Smart City program were discussed at the meeting as well. The minister offered the company to take part in the project. -0---
