Online ticketing will become available for 18 more Armenian museums
YEREVAN, December 15. /ARKA/. Another 18 museum branches under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Science, and Sports of Armenia will be connected to the unified automated electronic ticketing system.
According to the ministry's press service, the Armenian government has approved the relevant package of documents to modernize and refine the program. The initiative envisages also furnishing them with the necessary equipment. This will complete the list of museums under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Education connected to the ticketing system.
The was launched in November 2023; it consists of two main components: ticket sales and access control and management.
Nineteen museums are currently connected. Anyone can find complete information about a museum, its current programs, exhibitions, and events on the website museumsarmenia.am. They can also book tickets to their favorite exhibitions using modern technology through the online platform.
The platform will make souvenir sales more accessible; citizens will also be able to purchase multiple tickets at once and take advantage of a discount system.
The program's implementation will enable museums to monitor ticket sales, their revenues, and ensure accountability to the state and society, as well as maintain unified financial flow records and reporting.-0-
